Kevin George's charitable work is carried out through Soccology, an organisation that uses the power of football to change the world.
Soccology is supported by some of the biggest professional footballers across the world! Volunteering their time and sharing their stories, to enrich the Soccology programs.
Soccology has supported families of the Grenfell tragedy, facilitated emotional literacy workshops in prison and provided mental health programmes both nationally and internationally to improve human performance.
Initially self funded, from 2020, Soccology will have 50% of it’s programs match funded, to counter public health problems that contribute to gang culture, development of emotional illiteracy and mental health education.
The main focus will be youth because 75% of adult mental illness starts before the age of 14 and on average a child/young person waits 10 years before receiving support. The other 25% is training adults to develop their emotional literacy so they become models in emotional regulation, and provide a safe environment for young people in their care.
Kevin's work is about changing how people see themselves and how they see world, changing their world, thus changing the world!
