Education

Schools are not just learning environments. For many young people, they are the primary place where mental health either gets seen or gets missed. Getting this right requires more than a wellbeing policy and a member of staff with a first aid certificate. It requires clinical knowledge, systemic thinking, and a genuine understanding of the young people most likely to be invisible to traditional provision.

Kevin George has spent over 20 years working in education at the intersection of clinical practice and senior leadership. He has served as Head of Health and Wellbeing and Designated Safeguarding Lead in specialist SEND settings, as Director in alternative provision schools, and as a lead clinician across community education programmes. He understands the pressures schools face, the complexity of the young people they serve, and the gap between policy and practice.

Wellbeing Consultancy for Schools and Trusts

Kevin works with senior leadership teams to audit, develop, and embed psychologically informed approaches to student and staff wellbeing. This includes reviewing safeguarding and mental health frameworks, supporting DSL practice, and building systemic cultures of psychological safety.

Staff Training and CPD

Kevin delivers continuing professional development for teachers, pastoral staff, DSLs, and school leaders on trauma-informed practice, mental health awareness, emotional literacy, and safeguarding. Sessions are designed to be immediately applicable to the classroom, corridor, and pastoral encounter.

Direct Work With Young People

Kevin delivers structured psychoeducation programmes for students, with particular expertise in engaging young people who have disengaged from traditional provision. His programmes for boys and young men, including Street Health and Love Not3s, use sport, music, and culture as entry points into mental health conversations that young people would otherwise walk away from.

SEND and Alternative Provision Specialism

Kevin has extensive direct experience of working with young people in SEND and AP settings, including those with complex trauma, attachment difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health needs. He understands what clinical and educational provision needs to look like for this population and supports schools in building it.
